Welcome
Hello, and welcome to my limited edition fine art black and white photography website.
When I began making photographs a few years ago, digital photography was still in it's infancy. Consequently I began to learn the time honoured traditional methods at my local F.E. college in Nottingham. Having learned the basics, I quickly became absorbed in traditional film and darkroom techniques, and learned more from books, magazines, and of course, direct experience.
I still remain faithful to traditional black and white techniques, prefering the 'hands on' physical environment of the 'wet' darkroom to the remoteness of the computer screen and the electronic printer. I like the fact that with film I am producing a physical artifact rather than just a file on a computer.
